About Me
Hi! My name is Jake Facciani. I graduated cum laude from Virginia Tech with a Master of Science in Business Administration, as well as a BS in Marketing Management with Concentrations in Digital Marketing Strategy and Professional Sales.
I grew up as an energetic, creative kid. I always stayed up WAY past my bedtime watching my favorite creators during the Golden age of YouTube. I wanted to be like them, but didn’t know how to be myself.
When I was 16 years old, I woke up on a hospital bed.
The doctor told me I had Type One Diabetes, and that I would have it the rest of my life.
That meant shots - needles, every day, forever..
A week later, I spoke at my first JDRF fundraising event to 500 people I had never met.
Weirdly enough, I was happy. I knew I could get used to needles- I finally had a purpose! I could finally be like the Youtubers I watched growing up.
To this day, my family and I have raised over $20,000 for Type One Diabetes research, which is one of my proudest achievements :)
From my diagnosis, I gained passion, and it fuels me in everything I do.
From the music I listen to, from the TV shows I watch, from choosing my major to the companies I work with, I’ve let my passion carry me through my journey.
My journey so far has been blending strategy, creativity, and execution, creating brand success for multiple major companies, including Red Bull, and HP. I’ve also marketed and modeled in two sold-out fashion shows for Vetement De Rue.
I’m passionate, creative, and ambitious, and I believe I can change the world with my ideas!
