HP

Business Analyst Consultant

Through my MSBA-BA program at Virginia Tech, I worked on a year-long Capstone project with HP and the Boys and Girls Club of Austin, TX. The project focused on bridging the digital divide for youth affected by gentrification. Our Capstone team leveraged data to highlight the challenges underserved youth face amid urban gentrification.

I played a key role in analyzing data and identifying critical areas where technology access was lacking. We worked on forming impactful partnerships with NPOs and STEM camps in Austin, Texas, to ensure technology benefits all kids, regardless of their zip code. This involved coordinating with local organizations to provide resources and support for technology integration.

We showcased our project to HP's corporate team in their Palo Alto and Houston offices, presenting our findings and proposed solutions. Our research and findings will be used by HP to create a blueprint for implementing similar initiatives in different cities across the United States over the next 10 years. This blueprint aims to systematically address the digital divide, ensuring equitable technology access for underserved youth nationwide.

Through this project, I gained valuable experience in data analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement, all while contributing to a meaningful cause that aligns with my passion for social impact and technology.
